We are a start up company here in Aus called Pro Shooting Supplies, we are just getting our feet on the ground with business and so on.
We have access to shot show in Vegas in a few weeks, very keen for this!
Our first time travelling to America.
I was just posting for some recommendations while in Vegas! Obviously I am a Hunter/Shooter here in Australia so keen on all things alike, while in Vegas / St George leading up to shot show what would you guys recommend seeing or doing in interests of Hunting/Shooting in that area? Would be good to pass up a couple of days leading up to the shot show to see or do things that are in of interest!
Cool! Glad you’ll be out west. I wish I were going to be in town before shot show or I’d love to meet up in St. George. But I’m traveling the week before and after shot show and will just be in Vegas for the show. But definitely say hi if you see me at the show. It’s GIGANTIC!
Modern Warriors is a really cool stop in St George. Great local gun shop.
SUSSP is a popular range in St George and also there are some good ones in Vegas. Will you go to industry day at the range?
Joseph Von Benedikt said there’s also an old collector gun show that same weekend on Friday in Vegas. I’m planning on going to that with him.
We will definitely stop in and have a look at modern warriors, thank you for the recommendation!
I will definitely stop and say G’day if I see you at the shot show! I am definitely looking forward to it and seeing all the latest gear!
We will be in Vegas the day before shot show and I seen that range day was on the Monday but didn’t know how to get to access to go it, I think I will send them a email to work out what process we will need to do to attend as we would really like to go to range day!
If you have travel time - head down to Hoover Dam. Pretty impressive. You could take a long day and do west end of Grand Canyon as well. Not shooting related but hey one of the seven natural wonders of the world. Would be a shame to come this far and not see it. Like a 4 hour drive one way without stops. Be careful though - we drive on the wrong or right side of the road. https://home.nps.gov/grca/planyourvisit/skywalk.htm
Thanks for the advice mate! We were definitely going to check out the Grand Canyon and if we got time after the shot show we would check out the Hoover dam, definitely interested in amazing things like that aswell!
I will definitely remember that, haha! I drive a 2500 Silverado over here that’s been converted from left > right hand drive!
Have you guys been out here before? I’ve lived in St George for a few years. There’s an area on the north rim of the Grand Canyon south east of St George where’s there’s a motel and camping but it’s probably closed in the winter. Modern Warriors is a great store. They had buses with tourists from Europe who show up. Crazy place with $6k+ 1911s, and all kinds of military type firearms. Great guys.
Be a little careful in Vegas. There have been thefts of merchandise from shot show booths, like scopes. Vegas in general is a little sketchy. Don’t leave anything unguarded like if you are out to eat and go the the men’s room don’t leave a phone behind.
You’ll have plenty of chance to shoot at Shot but if I’m free you can shoot with me in St George if you come out this way depending on the day.
