If you saw my previous post, my Sig Cross in 308 was having difficulty getting under 2” groups. I sent it back for warranty and just got it back. As strange as it sounds, they replaced the stock hinge and now it shoots!
That being said, it is still ammo picky but the max groups were 1.5” rather than 4”. Most loads were shooting 3/4-1 1/4”.
The best shooting factory ammo was surprisingly still Hornady American Whitetail in a 150gr interlock. They shot .3-.5” groups and walked out well to 600yrds. You’ll notice, one group had two rounds in one hole. No telling how tight that would have been if I didn’t pull one! I don’t like soft points but that’s what the gun liked so this what I’m shooting until I can start loading up something custom.

Glad to hear you got it working! That was quite a journey.

That’ll do!

Just wish that hinge wouldn’t have been faulty from the factory. I could have bought half of another rifle for the cost of ammo I wasted ![]()

Nice to find a factory load that works and is on the lowest price end of the spectrum. Glad the 308 worked out for you. Save your brass and send us some more pics when you go on a hunt.
Good luck
