Silencer Central Reviews

It is quicker and easier the next time around. You do not have to redo picture or fingerprints if done within a certain time frame. The fact that we are paying a tax - you could question why you need any check to do that.
But there is no logic to it, only bureaucracy.

I also purchased a banish30 which came with a free banish 22.

I went with a trust which is the main reason it took the ATF so long to approve. Silencer Central as a company has absolutely 0% influence on the turnaround time of a form 4 approval.

That said, Silencer Central does offer a service to assist with the completion of all the ATF forms and I personally found that to be extremely helpful. Mind you this was at no extra charge either.

My form 4s (which there was one required by law for each silencer), with a trust mind you only took 4 months for the ATF to approve which I find as amazing and had nothing to do with Silencer Central themselves. This was my first silencer purchase and first form 4 ever submitted for approval also.

They also threatened an older gun at great price, shipped me a bag and return label and included at no charge a thread 1-2 x 28 to 5/8 x 24 adapter.

Do I recommend them? Yeah I do. I also give their customer service a 9 out of 10 as well.

I just ordered a Banish 30! OnX Elite was doing their free tax stamp promotion and I couldn’t turn it down. Once I placed an order will a representative reach out to me soon regarding filling out the paperwork or how do they work?

Is this your first one? Do you have fingerprints and photo on file with them? You should have gotten an email for next steps. If not then call them and ask. They will be helpful if history is any indication.

It is my first one. I got the email for the order confirmation but that’s all I’ve gotten so far. I reached out via email. Will have to give them a call I guess.

Yeah I would. I expect it might be because of fingerprints and photo. Just a guess though. Call - they will clear it up quickly.

I can’t be silent. I have purchased 4cans this year I took delivery on three all less than one week working with Ky Gunco. With Kiosk and Silencer Shop. I currently are 8 weeks and counting with Silencer Central.on can in stock Not sure why but this is fact. My other can from Silencer Shop was back order can that took four weeks

Same, I submitted paperwork via Silencer Central April 26, still waiting also. Friend of mine went through the kiosk at our local dealer and was done within a week.

I would not recommend Silencer Central unless you just think the Banish suppressor is that much better than the others out there. Do your self favor work with your local dealer that has a Kiosk

Silencer Central turned around my first two cans within 7 days of receiving the NFA Approval from the ATF. The Gun Trusts do take longer for an approval than individual ownerships but this is the ATF not the company. (4 months for Gun Trusts and as few as 4 days for individual approvals)

There are many brands of Silencers out there - just like rifles it comes down to weight and features.

The wait time will always depend on ā€œATF Efficiencyā€.
Now there is an Oxymoron for you.

Cheers!

Just got my Banish30 approved. Took just at 1 week. Submitted last Monday and got approved earlier this morning. Can’t wait to get it in the mail!

Finally got my Banish Backcountry approved today, from Apr. 26 (as trust not individual). Should be interesting since this one weighs about half my other 30 cal. can! Can’t wait…

I am approved after 6 weeks for two cans in a trust at Silencer Central. July 1. My clock starts clocking when we submit the form 4 and it is accepted. Seems reasonable and faster than the last two and certainly faster than the first one. Still a couple weeks to go yet as they have to inform local LE before shipping. I think people blame the interface and not the stuff that goes on behind the scenes out of their control. Of course anyone can make a mistake. Or maybe I am special and it just goes smoothly for me? I can accept that.

What does the kiosk do for you? If it is transmission of fingerprints then I already have those on file with pic and do not have to redo each time. It could save mailing time and acceptance of first prints and pic. Do you do eform on the kiosk as well? That would save a day waiting for an appt with the assistant as well.

I looked at my trust document today and I see I had already added my son. I thought I was still the only one on it. No wonder it took six weeks.

If your first time buyer the Kiosk saves a couple of weeks as Silencer Cetral does it by mail and that is if you don’t make any mistakes on form. I’m sure once your in system that is not issue. The other problem is th LE notification. I waited 3 weeks and finally called the Sherif myself and just started my 7 day wait before they can ship. I spent lot time on phone a\nd got conflicti\ng info several times. All is well I’m finally on home stretch and after 4 weeks they finally located by barrel I sent to be threaded and is was shipped today so I’m finish complaining and Hope the Banish surpressor is worth the wait

So added the extra week for sheriff informed and then a week for shipping - so 8 weeks for the two cans from silencer central with them in a trust. I can live with that. Not sure why my experience is different than others?
Adding - I bought a pistol yesterday @ Sportsman’s. People were there picking up guns that had been waiting 2 weeks for oregon background checks. Like four of them. I got my check instantly for the pistol. I have an OR CWP - so that helps a lot. Again though my experience is different than others. Not complaining mind you.

My 2 cans from Silencer Central took approximately 7 months to get to me with a trust. I guess I was one of the lucky ones (not!).

I saw a podcast on youtube that was saying that the nfa group got a new NFA chief and he is the reason things are going much faster. Pressure from Dettelbach from Congress. And he saw that they used a FIFO process - and if whoever was at the front of the line was held up - it held up all behind that one. Now if a hold up occurs they put it aside and carry on to clear those that are sailing through. Seems logical enough.

I just ordered a Banish 30. It took about a week and a half to get the fingerprint kit here and back to them, filed with the ATF last friday and got the approval midday Tuesday. They sent the notice to law inforcemen on Thursday. In my opinion they have been great to work with and very helpfull as this is my first foray into the sclienced world of shooting. I would recommend them to anyone if they have what you are looking for.
