Single Press bundle/kits, what's a good one

Been thinking of getting into Reloading and not sure which single press bundle would give me a solid base of reloading tools. Been looking mostly at Hornady’s classic and iron press, and Frankford Arensal’s new F-1 bundle.

Hoping for some insight.

Thanks,
Andrew

I have all Frankfort stuff but am still new at it. I like it though

Which press of their’s do you have? The M-Press or the new F-1 press?

I would pretty strongly recommend AGAINST getting one of the box bundles of reloading stuff. I have a breakdown here of exactly what I’d recommend for a beginner kit. It’ll cost you a TINY bit more now, but save you a LOT down the road. If it’s in the cards, here’s what I’d recommend. Best Reloading Kits for 2023: My results after 400 hours of testing – Backfire

To state bluntly, I’m pretty new when it comes to reloading. I ended up buying the Hornady kit that came with the sonic cleaner and I’d have to echo Jim here. Find the press you want and build the rest piece by piece. Already early on, I have replaced the scale, powder dispenser, and various other pieces from the kit I bought. There are things included in these beginner kits that are straight up junk, and there are some things that you’d want/are needed that aren’t included.

“Best reloading kits for 2023”…
This might be the best advice new reloaders (like myself) need to hear!

Cheers,

It really depends on the budget you have in mind but the consensus with most experienced loaders is that all the kits are “junk” beyond the press and items like loading blocks or the shell holders.

I’m of the opinion of but the best you can afford or save for it rather than continuing to be in a perpetual upgrade cycle. The whole buy once, cry once method. There’s a great press shoot out on the Ultimate Reloader YT channel that’s probably a few years old. Most reputable brands are a safe choice like Redding, RCBS, Forster, etc. For electronic powder throwers/measures I wouldn’t go cheap. The whole you get what you pay for. There are individual reviews on components too… so make a list of items then research. Everything doesn’t have to match brand wise.
