Hi all, wondering where the best BLM spots for shooting are for the St George UT area. 100 yards max is all we need for range. 50 yards might even suffice. We will be staying at the Arcadia resort. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
Take river road south and just never stop. It becomes a dirt road. When you get to the giant overhead power lines; go to the right for a half mile.
A quick spot is in Warner valley road by the water tank but be careful—lots of dirt bikers there.

The section of River Road just south of the highway is Arizona Public Trust Land where recreational shooting is not legal, only shooting while hunting. That continues to about the first cattle gate.
There are people shooting there anyway all the time and you’ll see obvious shooting spots. I’ve never heard of anyone getting in trouble but it’s only a short drive onto BLM land.
BLM doesn’t seem to care about shooters on Az public trust landprobably because it’s a state law. They drive by people shooting without looking twice. Personally I’ve almost never seen any Arizona law enforcement out there.
Shooting is usually prohibited in the summer in the Arizona area over fire rules while it isn’t in nearby Utah.
You’re supposed to get a permission slip from atf to take an sbr into Arizona. It’s a simple form and permission is good for a year. You don’t need permission for silencers
