Suppressor cover

Went to the range today and the heat mirage coming off my suppressors was throwing me off. What covers do you guys prefer? I get a lot of options from google.

These are the best I’ve found and used.

Thanks. You don’t happen to have one for a banish backcountry do you? It is 5.5" long, but they don’t make a 5.5" cover unless you have them custom make it. Would a 5" cover be to short if 1/2" was exposed?

I think that 5” would work. It may be a little short but should be alright

I have used others but the WEKA MOA STEALTH suppressor covers have worked great for me.

Having used both Armageddon Gear and Burn Proof Gear for my suppressors, I have come to prefer the Burn Proof Gear suppressor cover for mine. They are probably more expensive than others, but it’s worth it to buy once and cry once!

The fit and finish for the ones I have are excellent and I won’t ever have to worry about them flying off.

I bought a Devour Suppressor Cover - 7"

From Silencer Central.

They also have Devour Suppressor Cover – 5.5″ long

$79.99

They are highly rated and about PAR for price.

Cheers

Larry D.

I’ve had a few of these, if you’re not dumping mags they’re all mostly fine. The one feature you must have is some sort of retention mechanism that prevents it from moving under recoil, just velcro straps around the outside won’t do it.

I use a Burn Proof Gear heavy suppressor cover for my Daniel Defense Soundguard Ti. It does a good job even after a couple hundred rounds through it in a single session. I don’t dump mags but I do shoot pretty quickly sometimes. Its the only cover I’ve had so nothing else to compare to. Been working fine for a couple thousand rounds total.

Scope Chaps or T&K make the best. I have Scope Chaps “Can cover”

Follow up question from me. I use a Dead Air KeyMo adapter on my suppressor to make it easier to swap between my 556 and 300BO. How do you keep your suppressor covers from slipping around so it’s easier to take them off?

I have a hub mount with retention lock on my OCL Hydrogen L 7.62. When I bought my Burn Proof Gear Custom Heavy, I ordered it SHORTER than the recommended lenght (ordered 9"; recommended is 9.5").

During installation, I brought the front around the end-cap by ~1/8", then use the rear-shoulder of the suppressor to secure the back of the cover to the suppressor.

Have had no issues with the cover trying to come off…

The Can cover by Scope Chaps has a cinch cord at the rear to keep it from blowing off.
