I think we have truly witnessed a miracle. I have to admit I don’t think we would have had such a wakeup call if he had won the election in 2020. We wouldn’t have had all the people like Patel, Ramaswamy, Musk, Rubio, Hegseth, Noem, Gabbard, and Homan then, I don’t think. This is pretty exciting to see what changes and cuts will happen.

As an independent voter, I’ll just say I’m highly alarmed at the actions taken so far and everyone American should be too. I don’t disagree with some of his end goals. We do need to cut spending, we do need to streamline acquisition and other processes, but this was not the way. We’ve turned on our allies, fired/removed those that acted as a checks and balance system, and are seeing blatant violations of the law on a near daily basis. The data of every single American was just illegally breached by Elon Musk’s team. That’s your PII, contractor proprietary information, etc. all in the hands of people not authorized to do so.
Now we are in a trade war, threatening our allies, gutting our civil service, and everything is about to get vastly more expensive. I fear we are in for some rough times ahead…I can only hope I’m wrong.

what you are saying is akin to rearranging chairs on the titanic. Many Americans feel the republic has fallen and Trump’s presidency is one last attempt to peacefully restore it. If they fail, who knows what will happen. It’s going to get worse before it gets better is my guess. Lot of tribulations for America are coming but I think we can persevere.

Oh I don’t know. I do not buy the sky is falling bit anymore. Not after the scamdemic, sorry. Nothing Trump has done is really as dramatic as it seems, look for example at the history of tariffs Canada has hit us with over the decades. Look at the violations of 1st, 2nd, 4th amendment rights alone under previous admin.
Also it would be amazing if Trump, RFK Jr., Doge and team just absolutely flipped every department possible inside out and restored transparency. Full disclosure on JFK, MLK, Malcom X, full UFO/UAP disclosure, show everyone how far the spy agencies went beyond what we already know about via Snowden and similar leaks. Tear the damn place down and hit reset. It’s about time we had some disruption in the WH. This is our shot at exposing as much corruption and evil doing as possible, and hopefully waking up a good portion of the still asleep in the process.

I respectfully disagree. Why do you think we have turned on our allies? Is Mexico really an ally? I don’t consider green-lighting criminals / fentanyl / sex trafficking humans into our country as the product of a true ally. Trump is simply putting the pressure on to enable a deal to happen, so that American’s are safer and more prosperous. That’s it. He’s already done it with Mexico and Panama, and it will turn around when Canada switches leadership soon.
I say this with as much respect and as little animosity as possible, but you sound like a frog slowly boiled saying “I’m okay, this is fine” to the past 4 years, and 16 years respectively. Have you seen the utter crap our government has been spending countless BILLIONS on? Cutting is necessary. Have you seen the crazy stance our government has had on ALL MADE UP gender rights? It’s become a crazy religion inside of our government.
Not sure where you are getting your news information, but it may be good to sprinkle in some new right-leaning news media. Maybe you are… but your comment sounds rather alarmist and most right-leaning news sources are not taking the stance you are. On that note, I admit that I do not look at many left-leaning news sources.
Who knows, maybe I am just blind. I feel cautiously optimistic about what is happening.

The last President that our country had that made a decision and then the country decided if it was going to follow or not was JFK. Every one since him has been “doing what the country wants.” So 60 years of being like a large ship with a small rudder. We have had good presidents in that time, but no one like the ones that came from the time since JFK. Examples would be Washington, Jefferson, Adams, Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, etc
The previous administration, and the one that started it, Obama, did not legislate or enact a single piece of legislation which can be pointed to in hindsight that benefited the American public. Whatever President Trump does, with the intent of benefiting this country, is way over past due, and deserves more than two weeks of implementation for anyone to begin deciding if it will be effective, beneficial to the country, or a path we need to reconsider. However, it is abundantly clear that everything we went through with Biden has been a lowpoint for this country.

That’s a good explanation of why suppressors fall under the second amendment. I heard they may legalize SBRs in the senate bill as well. Hard to hope for anything when your federal govt has been a lifetime of disappointment, but keeping my fingers crossed at least for suppressors.
