The mental agony of options

While anguishing over the perilous wait for the T3X long action Backlight,, to make its arrival I’ve been trying to decide if I want to stick with the 7 PRC mine is currently chambered for or try something a touch different. With the max OAL of 3.560 a 175 gr bullet shouldn’t be an issue since I’m also rebarreling it too. Still, a 270 WSM or maybe a Sherman short with a 170 gr bullet would be sweet for shooting field matches and hunting western game. The. Again, maybe I’m just overthinking things because that’s what I do.

7 prc is a great caliber id stick with that. I shoot 6.5prc and 300WM myself.

I shoot 6.5cm, 6.5prc, 7prc, .308 (in AR10). I love them all and reload for all but the .308.

I had a Sako FinnLight in .270wsm. I found it increasingly difficult to find ammo for it, and when I did it was very expensive.

I’m contemplating the same question right now. Basically, I want to know if it’s better to build a 7 SAUM or if since the 7 prc is so popular, I could just load it down to 7 SAUM / 280ai velocities and take advantage of the more plentiful 7 prc rifles and brass.

So many options, so many hours needed to pay for them.
