Does anyone use a thermal that attaches to the front rail of a rifle in front of the scope or to the scope itself? I like the idea of not dedicating a rifle to a thermal scope, but not sure how well the technology works. Does it shift the POI of the rifle or can you add and remove without re-zeroing your rifle every time.

Just looked briefly at the ATN TICO LTV. Will clip to a rail or directly to your scope (with an adapter). I don’t know anything about the clip on but I have had an ATN thermal before and was happy with it.
Sounds like the clip on doesn’t have to be rezero’d with your daytime optic. Just clip it on and you’re good. I am definitely not an expert with these tho.
I have one of the DNT ThermNight scopes and really like it. They make a 3-in-1 that is a clip on called the Hydra. You might check them out
