Tikka Ace Action Screw Torque

Does anyone know the torque setting for the action screws for a Tikka Ace Game? I have read the short manual multiple times and if I am correct, on page 16 they reference the removal of the barreled receiver by removing two screws. However when they describe replacing the barreled receiver, it says to tighten those two screws to 7Nm. If my math is correct 7Nm = 5.163 ft lb. That seems way too low. My torque wrench starts at 10 ft lb.

Any thoughts? I am constantly reading here about how important it is to check your action screws before every trip to the range or hunt.

Thanks for helping out the new guy.

Most action screws that I’ve run across are rec between 45-65 INCH lbs.

And yes, I have destroyed things by mistaking in for ft, or ft for in.

5.163 ft lbs is just over 60 inch lbs so if anything it’s on the higher end of where most should be set to

Sako also does not list an action screw torque in their manual, which is annoying. There is a wide array of opinions on the webs speculating what it SHOULD be.

Thanks - I see I assumed ft lb instead of in lb.
