Well just got through setting up Tikka Ace Game for a friend of mine, and yes it was a pleasure. It was in 7 PRC topped off with a Burris Eliminator 6 . the gun field ready weighed 12.02 lbs the Chassis alone checked in at 3.86 it is on Heavy side but it shoots great. Jim I think your idea of using the Backfire Chassis with Ace precision would be great option if you come in u deer 3 lbs on your Chassis . We used Hornady Precision Hunter 175 gr and shot just under inch in scorching hot temps today in KY that was only ammo we tried and he was happy with that so I but the data in scope. We were getting 2835 on the chrono and everything about the gun was excellent

Greg, if he is not opposed to mono, have him try the Barnes LRX - there is a great video on this round by Little Crow Gunworks - its .5 in my rifle.

Looking forward to the chassis and that is over 2 pounds lighter than the Tikka which would make the Ace target lighter than the game if you used it in the Backfire Chassis for a hunting option
