I know tikka doesn’t currently offer 7 prc but wanting to do a gun chambered in that round for my do it all hunting rifle… what gun would be the best and what barrel length is optimal, I know Seth from Hornady loves the 20” id love to get your input Jim and everyone else…
Tikka and fierce are so different.
Tikka is the great quality, affordable gun, where fierce is the high end beauty you save up.for.
All.in all, theyll both shoot.straight, but you.just.need to decide what you really want.
Buy a 30k car and put 30k into it, or buy a 60k car
I’ll tell ya I recently bought a Fierce Carbon Rival in 6.8 Western and couldn’t be happier. I was a little leery because of some of the QC problems they’ve had in the past but the one I received is great. @backfire and a couple others online mentioned the titanium action was a little sticky, so I went with the stainless steel action and it’s as smooth as a two lug bolt can be.
I just bought the Bergara Crest Carbon which is fairly comparable to the Fierce Rogue in price, in 7PRC. I’ll let you know once I get it to the range. It was offered in 22" which seems to be pretty common now. Harder to find them longer in hunting weight rifles.
For what it’s worth, I’m in a few 7 PRC groups and people love their Seekins.
Please don’t rule out Proof Research or having one built. I love Tikka, but would have to spend another $2500 to get it where I wanted it.
I am having this 7PRC built for about $4K

If you’re going to be handloading, a 20” 7 prc barrel is good. You can still get good velocities. If buying factory ammo, I’d pick a 22 or 24”.
Fierce is making a good gun. There will be QC issues and customer service is poor, but their guns are accurate and functional.
