I received my Tricer-RP today is super easy and intuitive to set up and use. Its sturdy, rotates and cants smoothly once you get the right tension.
Not a benchrest bipod in my opinion but a great hunting bipod. Hope to get it on the range and the woods soon.
Looks good. Is there much bend in the legs with a heavy rifle?
From the weight of the rifle no, my Cascade XT is 11lb as is. There is a bit of bend putting pressure on but it didnt concern me. With the legs extended there is some wobble from the joint areas. Great for hunting but not a dedicated bench bipod. Im stoked to have it huge upgrade from the Oryx.

Does anyone have an experience with this Tricer RP and the MDT Backcountry or Mountain?
It seems that there isn’t one Bipod to rule them all. The RP goes TALL, but doesn’t pan (edit: apparently I was looking at old post about it, it does pan). The Backcountry pans but is the shortest of the 3 & no ARCA. The Mountain has ARCA, but doesn’t pan…
Since I am relatively new to Western hunting, I am unsure if height is more imprtant that panning, or vise versa. Is there a 4th option that does everything and in 15oz or under?
How set are you on ARCA?
Jim has mentioned a couple of times now if not more about how most of the bipods that he sees that use ARCA end up slipping during recoil.
I’m in the hunt for a bipod myself. Because of the above I’m looking for a Picatinny attachment but I want it to be QD as I would like to be able to move the bipod from one rifle to the other without any tools, Etc
In a hunting scenario, ARCA is fine because ARCA loses grip only after multiple shots. My experience its been after 10+. The RP comes with all the head attachments, Pic/ARCA/Sling Stud so I would have to choose. And I editted my post above, it does PAN. Not sure why the reviews I was reading said it didn’t, weird.
Its 10oz heavier, but still the same weight as my MDT GrndPod. GoHunt has it 15% off right now.
It does pan, ive been using mine every weekend its a great bipod. Very happy with it.
