Saw this morning that Triggertech is starting to make Triggers for Tikka rifles. Besides the stock, that’s been one of the biggest complaints I’ve heard against Tikka rifles. Some people just upgrade the spring, but I’ve heard mixed results for reliability when you do that. Should be available in Special or Diamond:
Looks like I’ll be spending more money now…
Tikka is also getting some love from Hawkins. They just emailed that they have created Tikka Hunter DBM.
Am I reading that right; you need to have a stock with a particular inlet, not standard Tikka stocks?
I played with my new tikka T3x this weekend. Surprisingly I was able to adjust my trigger down to 1.5 pounds and had it literally read that after a dz pulls… I moved it up to 1.75 and again held at 1.75… so I think it fells really good and I’ll leave it in there. Just missing the Backfire stock… but I was able to put my hands on a Rostock yesterday.., I must admit at 29oz it felt really good…
I honesstly haven’t had any complaints with my Tikka trigger. My biggest issue is the stock. Looking forward to that Backfire chassis.
Was just reading about this. I guess it follows their standardHawkins inlet vs whatever tikka has. Not sure how much work it would require to fit it.
I just got my Superlite 6.5prc 4 days ago I adjusted the trigger to 2.5lbs reads consistent. Im happy with it. Added a Backstop recoil pad, Mtn Tactical bottom metal and recoil lug, Banish Backcountry suppressor. Topped it with a Vortex Viper HD 5-25x50. Sighted at 100.
Day 3 I killed a 3 point Blacktail buck. First Tikka great experience overall.
Nice! Job on the deer!
Thanks I used handloads 156g Berger EOL. Deer popped out on the edge of an old logging road, I shot it and it took one leap across the road second leap 10ft into the brush where it dropped dead.
