Actually I think the Dems would rather run against Trump because they know they can beat him. And having these indictments against him actually bolsters his fan base: he maintains just enough support to stay on top of the Republican party, but not enough support to win a general election. They would HATE to run against Desantis because they can’t play the “orange man bad” card anymore. They will get annihilated in the general election against Desantis and they know it.

I view this as more of who will take more freedoms from me. Gas stoves, connected meters and thermostats, light bulbs, bump stocks, FRT, assault rifles, pistol braces, cows, hunting and fishing, bears with dogs, lions with dogs, no ICE by 2035, and on and on and on. Do I care about all of that - no. I have no need for a bump stock. In Oregon we cannot pump are own gas and the governor wont sign the bill that passed to allow self serve. So stupid. We still have 55 mph roads across long expanses of empty highways in this state where a 120 mile between towns. Measure 114 and the other laws that ban homemade guns. So this is what I am sick of and the candidate that is the least likely to make that the most worst is how I vote. DT did bump stocks. But on balance he and the R’s are way ahead on this. Having said all that, We do have legal pot and decriminalized hard drugs and abortion to 9 months. All of which I am against. So I am not a full blow libertarian but I have my own justifications for why I am not and can make a logical argument on assault
weapons vs. meth freedoms. The division in our country is based on what we want for government control. Seems there are few that agree on the list freedoms we should have that are on opposite sides of the isle.
