Hi I am sighting in my new 22 creedmoor with a banish 30 suppressor. I also have a backcountry suppressor but won’t be able to use it before I deer hunt in Wisconsin this coming weekend. Question has anyone used different suppressors on a gun and found much difference in how it shoots? Do I trust sighting in with one and hunting with the other suppressor? Thanks for any help or experience with this
Any change could affect the harmonics and point of impact. Even putting a cover on the suppressor. I never hunt without verifying the zero since my
miss on a nice 6x6 bull. Now Jim has just verified that if you can, you must verify.
It could change the point of impact by a couple inches. Risky.
Thanks guys I do realize it is a bit risky how much I am wondering. Has anyone seen a couple inch change at 100 yards or less or more when switching suppressors? I will be shotting under 200 yards most likely. I may have a opportunity to verify before I hunt and will do what I can to get that done. Or maybe I just use the one I sighed in with.
I have a .308 with a proof barrel. It is a 4" shift with/without at 400. Save the new one for the next hunt!
