Vortex Impact 4000 Laser Range finder

I have been watching your video with Ron Spomer and ya’ll were discussing laser range finders and the difficulty in making sure the laser is hitting your intended target. I have 2 Vortex 4000 Laser range finders. They mount on a diving board on top of your scope. The center of the rangefinder is 2” above the center of your cross hairs. To sight in the laser say at 100 yards, you place a reflect sticker 2” above the center of the bullseye. With the rifle in a stable mount (Tripod, lead sled etc.) you focus the scopes cross hairs on the center of the bullseye. You can then turn on a visable laser which you adjust on the range finder like a scope to where the laser reflects off the reflective sticker. At this point your laser is co-witnessed with the scope crosshairs. There is a button on the range finder that when pushed gives a yardage readout. There is also a remote that you can hit to take the reading.

The Impact 4000 also lets you input ballistic data for multiple rifles and loads. Weather data can be inputed. At that point when you range to a target, it will take into effect the balistic data and tell you how many MOA or MIls to adjust your scope for that particular target. Might be fun to take a look at. Price for the Vortex 4000 is $2,000.00.

Yeah it’s a cool system. Cool tech. Unfortunately, you can’t use them in Idaho where Ron lives, but its a good solution for other places!
