Why is the Weatherby Vanguard /Howa 1500 not usually included in the discussion when discussing “economical” rifles. Generally it the Ruger Gen II, Tikka and Bergara. I see builds being done from the Brownell Howa 1500 actions. Just curious on thoughts?
I just built a lightweight Howa 1500 Mini-Action in 300 Blackout. It is VERY accurate and the total weight including optic weighs less than 7 pounds. I shoot 110 gn Barnes TTac projectiles over ‘Lil Gun powder…
I have a Vanguard in 300 WBY Mag, and while it kicks like a mule, it’s sub-moa at 800 yards. Very effective big game setup at ranges I’d only share amongst good friends.
