I do homemade as well. I use a mix of airsoft BBs and foam from a gun case I tore out for the internals and then either leather or cordura for the bag. You can make them any shape you want. Takes a little time to make, but compared to how much I use them, it’s worth it.

I have really enjoyed the Woobie bag from cole tech. I have it in the stretch material and it squeezes very good for me. I can really dial in with that bag that I have not been able to do with other rear bags.
