What’s a good option for rear shooting bag?

What are some good options for rear shooting bags? Idk why I’ve had a hard time finding one around my area.

Armageddon Gear make some good shooting bags. I have a shemedium one that I really like. You can buy them on Amazon, MidwayUSA, OpticsPlanet and of course the company’s website.

I have settled on the Crosstac rear squeeze. Its got some weight to it, but its easy to use and once I took a little out, it holds my buttstocks perfectly. https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1021656541?pid=616800

I use the game changer. Probably the most popular in competition circles.

Hey Ben , I got one of the squeeze bag,
What do you use to fill it up?
I used sand and realized in winter that it freeze

The Crosstac I bought came with filling. I took some out to make it a little less dense.

If you are just doing bench rest or prone shooting I think the Airfoil is unbeatable. Using an airfoil rear bag I was able to make hits out past 1000 yds the first time I shot out to those distances . The Airfoil allows you to make very fine adjustments that stay on target

I got the Airfoil becuse it let’s me adjust to fit my gun of the day. Typically shoot BR but easing in to prone, waiting on my SEB Neo-X, using SEB Joypod-X, both are top notch. I also have a Protektor brand and am very happy with it…

Are you guys using the shmedium For rear?

Yes. Gamechanger shmedium is the way.

Same for front?

I almost never use a bag up front. Bipod front and sand bag rear.

Ok on It thanks again

Bought standard fill thanks again

Hey all on the Shmedium how much fill do you take out typically. The bag is pretty tight and has limited ability to squeeze and change presentation Any ideas as a starting point is It a 50,75,85 or 90% fill that gives the best ability to manipulate and rais and lower as needed ? Thanks in advance

I’ve never taken any fill out of mine. Find it pretty perfect as is.

Yeah if all is very balanced it’s a set It and forget It as I stated ranging over distance and shooting different targets Down range making micro adjustments is nice with some malleability. A slight squeeze or release of pressure raise and lowers the rectical ever so slightly. I shot with my trainers bag he made. It was a simple 7x4x2” bag with a strap with that at about 75% fill I was able to finely adjust.

I reduced the fill on the shmedium about 25 % and It is much more adjustable. I have an mdt peanut and that at 75% is very close to my trainers bag. The Cole-tac woobie stretch is about the best ive felt for my use. Granted I’m a newb but sub moa didn’t lie for me. Brand me an over thinker :man_facepalming:t3:
