What's The Best Coyote Call

I’m looking at getting into coyote hunting but I can’t seem to decide on what call to buy that’s under $400 CAD. I figured id ask here since reviews on most sites aren’t very detailed. Would love for your opinion if you have the time to share

Fox pro is top dog for sure. The sound quality is just better with their fox pitch. It does seem to matter. I’m not sure but I think their components are just better. Since I have switched to fox pro my ability to call animals in has increased significantly. That doesn’t mean I kill more though. Lol. Go fox pro and you won’t be disappointed.

Honestly they all work. I’ve killed coyotes with the lucky duck, I know people who kill dogs with icotec. In my opinion the physical build quality of the FoxPro is what sets it apart. My lucky duck is cheaply built. The fox pro’s are much more sturdy. Plus Torry at mfk records some phenomenal sounds

Proof! Love it.

I agree you can kill them with any of them. It just seems that when I switched to the fox pro my animal sighting increased dramatically. I just think the sounds are more realistic sounding and you can change the pitch of each sound so it’s like they never heard that particular sound in that way before. If your hunting heavy pressured areas it might be just what you need to send that dog over the edge and on his way to you.

I use lucky duck—really just because it’s somewhat less popular and so I figure the default sounds are used less. Probably doesn’t matter though.

I don’t know of any other major differences between them, so I’d probably just buy on cost.

Only thing I hate about my lucky duck is it doesn’t attach to the speaker for transport, and the big screen has nothing to protect it in a bag.

No it really does. Something that they haven’t heard before can be what gets you looked at. Also how you start out calling. Some people just start blasting calls right off the bat at a high volume. That scares animals that are close and sends them running and not towards you. Lol. I always start off with a bird or mouse at a very low level then turn volume up at breaks slowly. I have seen coyotes respond from unbelievably distances when I personally could barely tell if the call was playing.
