Which brass?

I am starting to run out of my once fired federal brass for my 7prc. Since I still don’t have a load I trust, i thought I might as well move to a brass I do want to use long term.

For my 6.5 CM I went with Alpha since is made in the USA and has a rep for uniformity and toughness.

Alpha doesn’t make 7PRC brass.

Which brass have you all had success with for 7PRC and would recommend and why? I would prefer to stay with made in the USA like Peterson or ADG if anyone has thoughts on those.

I don’t have a 7PRC, but I use Peterson brass for my 6.5 PRC and 7mm REM Mag

Still fussing with Hornady for now. Probably switch it up this winter, ADG or Peterson most likely.

I was using peterson for both of my 6.5prc’s and 300WM, i just switched to adg for one 6.5prc

Would you recommend Peterson from your experience? How many firings are you getting from 1 brass?

Why did you switch to ADG from Peterson?

I’m using ADG brass for all of my 7PRC loads and have very good performance with them. Very consistent and some have 8 reloadings with annealing. I do pretty warm loads in 7prc. Still in good shape. I do use Alpha, lapua and norma brass in other calibers. Norma is actually pretty good brass also.

Yes. I use Peterson because the local shop has it. Reloaded 4-5 times. I just had a primer fallout so just tossing old and and going with new. I am only shooting 1000yd once a months , I am not using a ton.

Well i believe ADG has a bit more volume so in my tikka im loading 127g LRX with H4831sc and eanted to differentiate from the Peterson brass i use in my CVA Cascade XT 6.5prc, i made a few errors and trimmed 50% of my Peterson brass too short.

The 300WM I use Peterson long its supposed to have taken care of the headspace issue with belted magnums.

I would highly recommend Peterson. I don’t anneal yet but I have 5 loadings so far with no issues.

I have been using Peterson brass for both of my 7PRCs. Currently reloaded 5x on one group of brass and no signs of degradation. I have 400 pieces of ADG brass for when these wear out. You will be fine with either. 7PRC in my experience is very forgiving with both of my rifles shooting at 2900 FPS and groups in the .5’’ range.
