Who all makes scopes with zero locks?

Listening to JVB’s podcast today. He was saying that he really likes to have scopes on his back country rifles that have zero-locks on them. He mentioned Leupolds, and I am familiar with their models and their locks. But he also said other Scopes like Swarovski had them.

I’ve never seen a Swarovski with the lock on it. A quick look on their website didn’t show anything either today.

Who else makes scopes with a lock? I do think it could be quite handy

I did not see the podcast. But by lock I assum this to mean it keeps the turrent from moving unintentionally. I have a Vortex Razor scope that has to be pulled up to adjust it so it wont change without doing so. I forgot about this step when I first got it and it took me a few minutes to figure out why it wouldn’t turn at all…SMH Sucks getting old and forgetting stupid crap. I will have to look at it to check the model as my mind is blank at the moment. I really love the reticle in it too.

Yes, locking the turret so it doesn’t get snagged, or bumped or whatever and turned unexpectedly.

That being said, not really sure how big of a problem this really is.

The biggest issue I have is actually usually forgetting to re-zero the scope and then shooting a distance without realizing I didn’t re-zero it. I don’t think having it lockable is a necessary feature and is sometimes annoying as I am not used to it.

Yeah, done that myself.

Someone needs to invent a scope where the dial returns to zero on its own after a set period of time.

I always check my turret before shooting, so for me if it got slightly moved or something, I’d just adjust it. Having said that, I’ve never actually had this happen where my turret somehow got spun going in and out of a backpack or something. So I’m fine without locking.

But almost all scope companies have locking turret options.

Yeah I need to add “check turret” to my pre-shot checklist, right before check bubble.
