Who do we like for cleaning patches these days?

It’s the end of the season it’s time to put up my Workhorse rifles and I’m going to get them all nice and clean before storing them in the safe for the next 9 months.

For some time I’ve been using the Pro Shot brand of patches. They felt like they were good quality in terms of material Construction compared to everything else I’ve tried in the past. However, and maybe this is just a bad batch that I have, they are just not holding up. Before I can even get them on the Jag I’m noticing that the cotton is frayed and pulling itself apart before I even get the thing in the barrel.

Thanks

I have been using pro-shot as well. I haven’t had any issues with them… though I have noticed loose strands every once in a while.

Maybe I have just got a bad batch. But it’s every single one of them now

I just grabbed the first patches from my 308 and 223 bags.

Following. Can’t remember what brand mine are but I don’t like it. Tons of strings coming off and falling in the barrel.

I use the Otis patches and really like them.
