Does anyone have this model of v4 with non illuminated reticle. Curious why it’s so much cheaper than the other v4 models. Seems like a killer price. I have a bass pro gift card, so I’m stuck buying from there, and this seems like a really solid buy. Am I missing anything?
Open to suggestions. No preference on first or second focal plain as it’s mainly for hunting under 300 yards. Vortex viper hd 3-15 was another consideration.
Looks like a good deal if you like a second focal plane scope. A lot of people swear by Zeiss.
I can tell you, you won’t be disappointed in the glass. I recently sold the Zeiss V4 with the ZBi 68 reticle. I would have kept it if I wasn’t going strictly first focal plane. The Zeiss glass is crystal clear and very bright.
I have purchased two of these scopes - great scopes. You can get a custom elevation turret from Kenton industries once you have settled on a load.

It’s a steal of a deal. One note however, they use a purple-ish glass coating which, in certain light conditions (bright/daylight), will cause a purple haze or glare to be noticeable when light hits at certain angles. A lens shade can help. But on the edges of the day, when light is low and deer are more active, it’s amazing.
