Aero Precision - are they legit

I ordered a short action .540 bolt face on September 17th. It was a blemish and I got an additional 15% off, so paid $600 total. Seemed like a really good deal, but I have yet to receive it. They claim they sent it off for coating and have not received that batch back yet. I’m coming up on 3 months, which is absurd giving they charged me on September 17th. The last estimate I received was mid December, but that is the 3rd date they gave me.

Is this company legitimate? Is this a one off experience? I don’t think they should sell products that are not ready to ship and definitely shouldn’t have charged me until it shipped.

It’s a legit company for sure but they are notoriously bad at customer service.

I have 4-5 rifles of theirs. I have been very happy…they are legit.

I have one of their rifles in 6.5 CM and it or my Bergara Crest Carbon in 6.5 PRC are my 2 most accurate rifles.

I guess I’ll just wait then. I’ll know if I ever order from them again (doubtful).

Dang. 4 months is ridiculous. They should just wait to sell it until it’s actually ready.

Agreed or at least don’t charge my card until it ships.

That’s crazy- if they show it’s available it should be available-common sense theory. I did notice that they say 4-6week lead time on the barreled action i ordered. It’s been just over 4 weeks now

Delivered to my FFL today, for what’s that worth. A month and 15 days from order to delivered.

Finally got my email replied too… or many emails, about the status of my order… there response was my barrel is on back order, no idea when it might be available.

They might let you cancel your order? I’m going with the approach, if not expecting it until the Summer 2027… that way if it shows up before then, I can look at it as a win😖…

I’d rather them just send me the dang action. I bought the blemish and was able to use a 15% off coupon, so it was only $600 to my FFL. It has to show up to be a good deal though.

I would have thought the blemish would have been in the coating, but that is supposedly where it has been for 4 months.

Just picked up my Barreled action. Sorry others have had a bad experience. Was fine for me.

I tried sending them messages and using their chat feature on their website, but couldn’t ever get them to answer. I finally called today and was on hold for close to 1 hour before I got someone. They were not able to give me any information on when I would receive the action, so I canceled the order after waiting for 17 weeks. I was informed they could not refund my card because it has been so long since I placed the order. They will be mailing me a check in 2-3 weeks.

Never again. Areo Precision is dead to me. lol

Bummer! Thanks for the update…. My fingers are crossed that I get some kind of news on my barreled action, before May.
