Thanks! If I’m working with Preece Precision on a barreled action, do you think I could order that up and once a possible all black chassis drops, I could put it together if I have no experience? I was originally looking for him to do it all. Appreciate it!

I’d would just order a trigger off eBay, a magazine and your set
Most likely the barreled action you receive form Preece Precision will be a Remington 700 inlet. just check if its a short or long action.

In reference to “7 prc. Medium contour 20” barrel. Balances just slightly aft with no muzzle device” message, I think I want my grandchildren to grow in to the 6.5 PRC with the backstop, instead of the creed. This rifle will be suppressed. I also feel that with the PRC shot placement will expand a little. Your thoughts…
Not gonna lie, I’m pretty pumped for June 19 to finally be able to get my X-bolt out of the factory Ovix stock!
@backfire what are the lead times gonna be once you have stock, for shipping since you have to make the recoil pad for every chassis? Hopping they ship up to me before the last week of may since I travel for work.
6.5 prc is very manageable if you have a good stick and buttpad too. I think it’s a winner.
Since it’s one stock shape for all Backlight, we will stock all the different squish levels. So it’ll ship out pretty quick.

Good news because I have a Tikka 7PRC Build waiting on the new Chassis
Thank you for the advise…I’m now sure about my build for my grandsons. My first thought was to go the full custom build since both my rifles are, however I’m going to dial it back with a Premier Barreled Action chambered in a 6.5 PRC, good quality adjustable trigger, Backlight Chassis and good quality scope.

Howdy Jim, I have a Tikka CTR in 260 Rem. Will your chassis accept the factory 10 round (actually 9 more reliably) compatible mag well? I already put it in a different “not crappy plastic stock” and I’m getting 10 round groups at .379” using my loads.
AICS mags according to the info on backfire shop.

Ruger american Gen 2 7PRC , preparing for the late august release of the LA inlet you have coming for your backlight chassis
MDT does a nice polymer 3 round aics cip-length mag.

Do you think that the savage 110 ultralight in 7prc would have too much recoil to shoot well in the backlight chassis ?
No, it’s shooting like a dream in my 7 prc.
