What do you think about the information coming out from the suppressor stores that we no longer need s form 4 and may obtain suppressors directly.
I’m still convinced it’s a slow play setup.
Not sure what you mean by that, not familiar with that terminology.
I got the email from silencer shop yesterday about this. The big takeaway from me was the sentence at the very end that said that every dealer is doing things in their own way. Some of them are going ahead while many others are not.
My concern, having both worked for the government and seen how policies change as the pendulum swings if there are not written laws in place I do not trust this process will stand. If the next administration leans blue I see suppressors being the same as bump stocks and arm braces.
Varies by state. Montana still requires it (hopefully that changes mid/late 27)
Well, here in Arizona suppressors are encouraged as well as opened or concealed carry as opposed to the state to the west
So my new suppressor was delivered to my FFL on Wed. They still do form 4. They are a a silencer Shop affiliate. I think I’ll drop by tomorrow and pick it on a 4473 ![]()
I’m still waiting/curious how the ATF is going to rule on suppressors purchased on the Form 4 for suppressors put in a trust.
Walked out of my FFL in minutes after doing the 4473. What a day!!
Now I get to play with the Tenet Limited 7.
That’s on my short list. Did you get either the one or two port brake? And please let us know how you like it (what ear-pro) you end up using, if any)
The 2 port Horizon break would not thread on. Sent off an email. Got a reply on Sunday and replacement in the mail for overnight yesterday. Not the first time a titanium suppressor break wouldn’t thread. I think it a material machining issue, but Tenet sent a Qaa checklist of all the processes passed and Aaron from Tenet was genuinely confused at how it was sent out and didn’t fit.
Hopefully new one fits.
I will say, its small. Like ridiculously small. I have it next to the BTI30 and the bergara can is Sooooo much bigger. That alone is impressive.
New break came today, went on super easy. Now I need a free weekend to get to the range.
I was quite shocked to find out today first by a YouTube video, then by calling my local class 3 dealer, that in North Carolina things are just as they were. I would have figured our state being as red as it is would not do this but we have a state law that says you have to have everything registered with the NFA
Yeah, I heard NC was one of the states where state law rendered all this mute. God bless TX.
Can say I’m sure jealous of all the free states out there…. I finally get to pick my precision armament ti-Rex 30 today…. Only 34 days later… I’m sure with the 4473 being adopted that they have cut staffing on the NFA tax stuff…. Life in the people’s republic of WA
4 more years kids graduates and I’m off to a free state! If they don’t put up walls by then blocking refugees
Form 4 required
My FFL requires Form 4 for those suppressors they don’t sell. I received the ATF approval of the form 4 in 1 day. This is in AZ.
Hey guys,
What happens when you purchase a suppressor in a state that does not require a form 4 and you cross state lines that requires one? You are there to hunt and a game warden checks you and asks to see your tax stamp. Does out of state status cover you or are you going to have a bad day? I live in texas and have a farm in NC that I hunt during the holidays.
