Anyone have any suggestions for an after market stock for a Tikka? This will be for my IL deer rifle. I prefer a more traditional hunting stock over a chassis. Curious if anyone has had any luck with anything?
Bell & Carlson stocks are full aluminum bed and come in sporter stocks. I have one on my Ruger Guide gun.
I’ve had a good experience with stocky stock. They often run discounts.
Since you’re looking for something traditional, I’ve been really happy with my Rokstok. It might look like a canoe paddle, but with the exception of the recoil pad, I think they really nailed functionality and features that matter when shooting.
You could also check out iota
Iota said they aren’t making stocks for purchase right now. Everything is going toward full rifles…unfortunately.
Very interesting. I did not know that.
Sounded like they have a backlog of demand and trying to catch up.
Could be an opportunity for a company which has a rifle stock being released soon. Hhhmm!
Iota stocks. I just dropped my 22 creedmoor into one and I absolutely love it
It is the same stock that horizon firearms uses for their rifles
Do you know of any place to buy one? You can’t buy them directly from Iota/Horizon.
I bought mine directly from Iota last September. I don’t know anything about them not selling direct
That’s Nice!
Stockys has a sale on the iota stocks currently in there bargain cave, like $359
I ended going with this that was in the bargain bin for $500
Just making sure, but did you get the tikka one or the rem700 one? They make both. I like my stocky stocks.
I got a Remington 700 BDL Short action, as I needed it for my 300 wsm build I have started
Oh I see. Right on. Let us know what you think. The first one I got I put a tikka 7 SAUM into it. I did have to torque down the action screws after initially shooting it. 300 wsm is such a great caliber. Unfortunately, I am too much of a wimp for it. Maybe someday I’ll try it again.
Greyboe is having a pretty good sale, I have there Trekker stock seems pretty good for the $
