TX Hog Hunt for Backfire+

Just putting a feeler here for how many Backfire+ members would be interested in a Backfire+ TX Hog hunt? This would be a group event, probably over a long weekend from a reputable Ranch/outfitter. Without getting too much into detail, I think the minimum expectation would be lodging, meals and processing. Thinking of spring 2026.

Anyone interested?

What would be the ballpark cost per person (excluding flights/travel)?

Hard to say, but I have seen packages that range from $399 - $599 that do not include processing the Hog(s).

Yeah. Cost is pretty cheap for hog hunting. $500 and you’re good to go.

OK - that’s 9 people interested so I will start the hunt for an outfitter (starting with Jim’s recommendation). I’ll update here as I learn more.

I am in Houston. Pending what month in spring you are thinking may be interested. March is out. Would there be the limit for hogs. There would be 2 (son and I).
